Climate Interactive –
As a Partner with Climate Interactive, Systems Thinking Collaborative has run several climate negotiation exercises with town, church, corporate, and professional communities, using both the scientifically validated C-ROADS and En-ROADS climate change systems dynamics simulation models. These powerful workshop brings to light the level of commitments required by nations (C-ROADS), or by different industry sectors (En-ROADS) to meet our climate goals. The workshops use the very same superfast simulation model that has been used to support climate negotiations worldwide.
The Climate Negotiation workshops are nuanced group exercises that also simulate the social dynamics of negotiations, and is a “must experience” for every community serious about understanding the multifaceted challenges we face.
More recently, we adapted and used the En-ROADS simulation model and learning lab materials for the 2016 NASPAA Student Competition. Our modifications included developing implementation feasibility logic, structure, as well as a modified user interface using the Forio Online Simulation platform.
